Welcome to Very Good Wood. A journey 9 years in the making.

Hey all, Tony here!  And welcome to the culmination of a nearly 10 year journey.  9 years ago, my friend Josh introduced me to wood turning innocently enough.  Little did I know how addicting of a hobby it would become.  

When I lost my job in August of 2025, I decided I didn't want to jump back into the corporate rat race again.  I had enough savings to give me some time to build something of my own.  The Result?  Very Good Wood.  An homage to one of my favorite shows, actors and characters; Ronald Ulysses Swanson from Parks and Recreation as played my Nick Offerman and his company, The Very Good Building and Development Company. 

So with a name and a lathe, I am setting out to create custom wooden items for all.  I am leaning hard on my gaming and mini painting community in addition to creating general decor and art for the general public.  And I hope to be doing this for a very long time.
